KINETIC

KINETIC Program

KINETIC reaches 100+ limited-English speaking youth from over 10 different ethnic groups to provide leadership development and skills-acquisition. KINETIC is an award-winning program recognized by the the Association of Asian American Studies in 2015!
Through KINETIC, Advancing Justice | Chicago introduces immigrant and refugee students in Chicago Public Schools to culturally relevant curriculum that builds critical thinking, creativity, and civic leadership skills. In addition to the core KINETIC curriculum, our participants have access to various development and growth opportunities, including college campus visits, career panels, arts & media training, registration for the Asian American Leadership Forum, and civic engagement activities. Participants in KINETIC also receive ACT tutoring to ensure that they can reach their potential at the colleges of their dreams.
KINETIC’s diverse group of program participants hail from regions across the world, including South & Central America, Africa, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East.
Your contribution guarantees that KINETIC can continue providing meaningful civics education to immigrant and refugee students in Chicago Public Schools, in addition to access to support networks to ensure students’ success in college and beyond.
